carlisle offer for someone??

Maybe someone is interested, maybe not.  My Daytona is going to be at carlisle in building T.  My first plan was to drive it and just take a tent and camp.  Not bringing anyone so i don't really care where i sleep.  I have a friend that will let me use his enclosed trailer, but I have no truck to tow it.

So here's the offer:  I live near Buffalo NY, if anyone was going to go to Carlisle from Thursday to Sunday ( I have to stay til 3pm Sunday) and was taking a truck that could haul my car and trailer, I would pay for the gas and give you my extra ticket to get in.

I can leave on Wednesday if needed but I have to stay until 3 on Sunday so you'd have to stay until then to bring it/me back.

Just throwing this out there.

Wow, that would be a tempting offer if I had the time and wasn't off to the east of you.  :yesnod:  Good luck finding someone.  :2thumbs:

On that note, have you talked with your insurer about this plan? I just went through this type of thing with some of my other collectables for a local fund raiser. The way it worked out was that during transport I couldn't get any other coverage beyond that of the towing vehicle (wasn't mine). I couldn't even get my homeowners insurance to cover it. As long as it was considered "in transit" it was all covered under the towing vehicle policy. Well, I could but they wanted something in the neighborhood of $2.5k to cover the approximately 1hr of travel time.  Which seemed beyond reasonable.

That said, I had help from someone else when I transported my new to me 69 home and didn't even give it a thought at all (never even occurred to me). Your Daytona might be worth a tad more than my 69 though.  ;D

chrome dome jokes are acceptable - I'm immune to them.  Thanks for tip on the hauling part, I'll have to check.
