We have been offered a spot in the Car Coral at the Sovren Historics Racing Event at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. This would be Saturday July 5th.  The event is featuring the Mustang as its 50th Anniversary is this year.

Several of you have contacted me about wanting a face to face meet again this year. This would be an easy option, and give us lots to do in addition to "talking Chargers".

It would cost $30 per car and driver. Your cars would be on display for all the specators to see. Also there is usually a car club lap of the road coarse about noon or so.

I will set  this up for us if at least 10 of you contact me and commit to coming.

I'll have to give a 50/50 chance for now of me making it.  It depends on daughter's soccer tournaments.  Be nice if she were playing up there that weekend?

It would be fun. The biggest drawback is that's the weekend before Carlisle - which means lots of money and time spent traveling in a very short time period. I think I have an airline voucher that has to be used by the middle of July though.

Drove the Charger down to Kalispell Mt. last thursday just to pick up some parts, that car loves the highway.

The car corral is past the entry gate and proper credentials / tickets are required to get in.  I'm not going to be sending tickets out that haven't been paid for.  The only way that we can let unpaid people in is to have them park outside the gate, purchase GA tickets at the track, walk into the car corral and give us $5 for the car  pass, then go back out to bring the car in.  We can set aside space for your club on this basis.

Mark, what does this mean?  If we send in money for the tickets and there's not ten cars, then what?

I think they will let us in even if we don't make the ten cars. It is just if you pre-register you have less steps at check in.

I am going to pre-register. This is an event I usually attend anyway and it is close to my house.

Even though the response here hasn't netted 10 comitments, I think I am going to ask them to reserve 10 spots for us.

Mark, the deadline for pre- payment was the 10th.  They say there's a max of 250 cars.  How do we know that we would get in if deciding to pay at the gate?  Or am I missing something?

I have been emailing them and they said we could send in our individual registrations even past the deadline. They will reserve ten spots for us. I have been to this event before and the car corral is very informal.

I have made it to every get together so far, except the last two. I did not hear about them until after they had taken place. I had been
off the site a few times with life's challenges keeping me from the fun     and again I have lots of stuff for a raffle as we have done
in the past, if not for this setback, I would have been there.

I am thinking of showing up in my van, just to visit, we will see, just not the same without a car
