 :faint:

That is good & surprising news!
I wonder what the pricing will be? (It's a BIG bumper to chrome.)
Could fenders & hoods be too far behind?  :scratchchin:

AMD even

Id think the demand for fenders or hoods would outweigh bumper demands. Atleast you can rechrome the bumper.

I thought that as well.  :yesnod:
But the tooling/production costs for fenders & the hood might be greater than the bumper.  :shruggy:
Either way, at least another '70-only part will now be available.

Agreed

My front bumper is over $1000 up here in Canada to rechrome so good news for me. I already bought an AMD back bumper. For the price i was happy.

If you use an original then you don't just have to buy it.  You have to buy it and then rechrome it, which basically doubles the price.   So a new repro can match the price of an original bumper much easier than a fender or hood.

I wish AMD would do 1968/69 bumpers.  They are already available but they are pre-AMD in quality so it's still preferable to re-use originals when possible.

Maybe this will get the chrome bumpers back onto the Fast & Furious Chargers once and for all.
They went to fiberglass front ends on those cars a few movies ago because the 1970 sheetmetal was such a PITA to keep stocked.  The front bumpers started being painted black around the same time.

good stuff , but supprised ,  at a 70 bumper being  repoped  :scratchchin:  supprised at 68 /9s too  would of though there was more important parts to be reproduced , not like the quality of these bumpers are 100%   ,  better off getting originals  re-chromed imo  :Twocents:

How many more of those movies do you think there will be?

supposedly they planned for 9... before one of the main actors died though....

A lot hinges on this upcoming 7th movie.

The director of the last 4 movies wrapped up the story at the end of #6 and left.  This is a new director restarting things a few years later in the timeline (which already kills two of the main characters).  And then Paul Walker got killed halfway through filming this fall.

F&F is Universal Studio's biggest-earning active movie series.  They will go to a lot of trouble trying to salvage it.

Wonder how good these bumpers will fit, hopefully not like crap like most other after market parts. :scratchchin: :brickwall: :shruggy:

And the finish?  :scratchchin:
It's a BIG bumper. Takes a lot of work to get one nice & straight.  :yesnod:
