Anybody see Top Gear tonight on History Channel?  They did a muscle car episode with Rutledge in 72 SE resto mod. :hah:  Replay is on now :popcrn: at time of this post :2thumbs:

NHCharger

Yep, saw it last night. Was suprised they gave the total costs of the restorations on those cars. I was kinda shocked at the costs.
72 Charger- Base Model
68 Charger-R/T Clone
69 Charger Daytona clone
79 Lil Red Express - future money pit
88 Ramcharger 4x4- current money pit
55 Dodge Royal 2 door - wife's money pit
2014 RAM 2500HD Diesel

Wasn't that a member's car on here? It looked awfully familiar...  :scratchchin:

WHITE AND RED 69

That was Bill Howell's charger. 6.4 hemi with XV suspension. Has posted a few times here but is mostly over on the pro-touring.com site.

Too bad US top gear is a joke of a show. They had 3 badass custom built cars and instead of showing what they are capable of they filled them with flies and set off car alarms?   :shruggy:  And no way that mustang could have caught up to the camaro when they did the drag race between the three?   :slap:

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Yup, that's the car. Thanks, Clayton.

Yeah, I watch the show for comedic content. Not sure how much is "reality".
Adam was driving the Camaro, with Tanner in the Mustang. Not sure how Adam stacks up against Tanner as a driver? Then again, not sure how "real" that drag race was, either.  :scratchchin:

You know Cuda Nut, it looked at place the way it was done.  :scratchchin: Down when Counting Cars tried it.  :eek2:

that's all the show is there for is the comedy.  I know Tanner is a real driver and knows his stuff... but don't think the other 2 can really drive worth a crap.  But its all good for a laugh or 2

Just 6T9 CHGR

Did the Charger have the decals on it for the show?   I knew that car looked familiar.

All kidding aside...out of the three Ill take the Mustang please  :drool5:

I don't recall seeing the decals at all.
The 'Stang was definitely sharp. And all things considered the Charger had a serious weight disadvantage.

Yep that's for sure.... the charger was definitely the heaviest out of the 3 cars

I was entertained by the show and enjoyed tanners burn outs.  I still cannot believe Wood stood the Challenger drag car on its rear bumper....they must have edited out when he filled his pants!
I agree that more serious testing of those 3 cars would have been enjoyable.....I know I wouldn't give them my $100k resto mod so they can fill it with a poop box and flies!! :brickwall:
