If your ticket does not say the speed you were going, than there is no ticket. Fight it. You will win, with no documentation on the ticket they can't pull out a reference number speed=fine.  :Twocents:

already paid it. I did the crime and was willing to take my punishment and accept the points onto my license.

In Canada it gets a little trickier than the US when it comes to fighting that stuff.  I won't pretend to know the specifics of the law but from experience I can say that your "rights" are more limited here.

Some threads fall apart but really most are great and almost everyone here is cool.  Some are misunderstood sometimes but I think almost all of us are good folk.  The site isn't a joke man, it has some strongly held differing opinions among us but in the end it makes us all grow.  (I think anyway)

The cop gave the guy a break.  If I were him I'd shut my hole and pay it.  Don't try being a smart ass and fight it, you'll find yourself in court and that same officer will be there........................ it won't go in your favor.

A buddy of mine does 401 as an OPP and he has told me they are instructed to give no breaks nor accept any excuse on the 401.
