I've got a 2002 3/4 ton Dodge Pickup. Thats the old 2001 and earlier style body as they carried that style into 2002 on the 3/4 tons. What I'm wondering is what does it take to get quad headlights on this truck. I'm missing a relay in the underhood relay / fusebox where it shows a relay should be for quad headlights. Is it just a matter of adding this relay or is there more to it than that. Anybody know or had experience adding quad headlights to these trucks?

I can only assume your referring to FOG lights, as none of these trucks came through with 'quad' lights.
some of the trucks came through pre-wired for fog lamps. You will however NEED the proper fog lamp headlight switch. My 99 didn't.

No I'm not referring to FOG lights. The truck has factory fog lights and they work fine with the proper fog lamp headlight switch. There is an empty spot in the Fuse / Relay box under the hood beside the battery. Spot # 54 is empty but says Quad Hi Beam Relay. My question is if I add that relay will all 4 lights come on when switched to high beam. Is this all I have to do or is there more that is needed. I was always understood that Quad headlights were optional on these trucks. They must be possible otherwise what is the relay spot for?

what happens if you put a relay in there and operate your lights? All the relays in that box are probably the same, take out a horn relay and put in in the empty slot.

Usually with Chrysler, the fog lights go out when high beams are turned on. Also, some vehicles turn off the low beams and only have high beams on when switched

you are not gonna hurt anything by putting a relay in there and seeing what happens when you turn on lights

Did some checkin. Some claim that relay allows fog lights to stay on while high beams are being used.
(Illegal in Va.).
Some claim it's only used on Sport trucks. I don't buy that as I've inspected Sport trucks and the fig lights go out on high beam.

on the wife's PT, the fog lights go out when high beams are switched on....but all 4 lights in headlights are on with high beams

I've got an 01 Sport with the quad headlights and my fog go off when the high beams are on.

I think you will find that the wiring harness for the Quad headlights is different than what is stock on your particular truck. If you have a service manual with wiring diagram you should be able to verify that.
