Every two or three years I degrease the engine and touch some things up for the summer.

repainted the inner fender wells, re-coated the exhaust manifolds, repainted the valve covers and some spots on intake and front of motor. . touched up a few painted black items.

Looks great  :2thumbs:

After a couple years of use, it's getting about time to do that with my 69.

Awesome it looks great!!!

And on top of the you just answered a question with out even knowing that you did and that was regarding the "Pie Tin"

383 Four Barrel (red in color) and not 383 *MAGNUM* (red in color) for a '68 Charger 383 4 bbl.

That is providing that yours is correct LOL

Anyway great 68 BTW.  :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

On the pie tin...all my research indicates that the 68 383 HP motors with the unsilenced air cleaners came with no pie tin. I do know the 383magnum is wrong as that term was not applied to 383s in Chargers in 68.

I put the 383 four barrell tin on so people would quit asking me if it was a 440. But I do not believe it to be correct.

Also I have the group 27 Red Top battery in my car. I believe it would have come with group 24 yellow top battery. But I like the extra cranking power.

I think everything else is pretty close to stock.
