Hey.  I'd like to upgrade the headlights on my 69 Charger.  Has anyone done this, and if so, where did you buy the kit from.  I found this site for Daniel Stern Lighting, and was wondering if anyone has used there products.  http://www.danielsternlighting.com
Thanks, Russ.

Never heard of him ? , but he certainly knows how to charge,
Get on ebay for ideas and links to other suppliers,
What ever you choose , you need to relay your head light supply, switch in dash won't take extra load , switch becomes a trigger for relay power from battery , search on here, I'm sure it's on threads on here
Led's also an option to nearly everything

I recently did the relay upgrade and did it a little different than the famous headlight upgrade thread but the principle stays the same.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Thanks for the tips, and links.  I remember that XV sold a complete kit that looked pretty nice, but they are out of business and were very expensive.  I'm going to replace my harness soon and thought it would be a good time to upgrade.  I'll do some surfing and see what I can find.
Thanks again!

This is what I did this winter and I'm very happy with the results. I did the relay upgrade Dino posted the link to, makes a huge difference when your headlights are getting full voltage and you also get the benefit of relieving your wiring harness and headlight switch of the electrical load. I just used Halogen lights from Discount Fleet Supply, best price I could find. Here are the links to the lights I used, just a heads up the high beams come with bulbs but the listing does not tell you that.

I chose not to use HID's. When I have to deal with people on the road who have stuck HID bulbs behind normal halogen reflectors the results are great for them but not so nice for everyone who is coming at them. I also got a lot of great ideas from this thread that Dino started and I used many of his ideas (Thanks Dino)

I'm more than pleased with the results and now my headlights are on par with any modern car with halogen lights. I hope this may help you a bit.

He's the guy who came up with the popular "relay upgrade" in the late 1990s (at least in the form that most people follow today), and drew the accompanying diagram that commonly gets posted everywhere (note the copyright notice on the left-hand side that is usually cropped off when people repost it).
