Hi guys.

On my 73' Charger Rallye the brake light stays on constant. The brake system is good, no leaks. Is there a wire that goes on the master tha could be bad or would it be a cluster problem.

2nd, the oil pressure gauge will not work. Is that the wire that goes on the module on the motor close to the firewall?

Thanks for the help.

1- unplug the wire going to the dist block/prop valve to check if it turns off

2-yes, gray wire to a sender on back of engine, meeting with tranny and firewall. Ground the wire to check if needle goes to top

Yep Nacho bad oil pressure sender. How hard are these to replace & how much for part? What is the correct name Nacho?

Yes, took wire off for brakes or P.Valve & light still stays on...? :scratchchin:

Thanks man.

Looks easy to replace, awesome. :2thumbs:
Simple, sits on the back of the engine.  You can see it here.

about brake light.

some wire must pelled off and grounding around.

The prop valve wire got an extra plug in the middle, spade terminal, to testing procedure.

did you checked the EMERGENCY BRAKE ? this light has nothing to do actually with brakes pedal wiring, but emergency brake. Same black wire, but bullet kind terminal, with a switch similar to regular door jam switches

Oil sender... PIECE OF CAKE to replace. If not tight can even being replaced by hand... if not, it got hex shape attached to stud just bellow the sender "bell"... can't recall the hex size... 5/8" maybe ?

Nacho, thank U man.

Yep, I have the oil pressure gauge working now, it was not that bad.

Now I will mess with the brake light.
So the wire with the fitting cap goes on the end of the brake valve & not in the middle?

I will try that, if not it has to be something with the E Brake as you said...

the wire going to the prop valve has two conectors... the "hat" shaped what plugs into the prop valve and one female spade terminal close to the bulkhead plug. Both are the same line, just the female spade one is used for testing purpouse, to check if light is working still with the prop valve warning switch plugged.

I'm talking about that conector, just in case on that area could be grounding with something around, to let you know what is that one for.

at the same time, the emergency brake uses THE SAME WIRING to warn you about you have set the emergency brake. So this light lights on in both situations... emergency brake on, and brake fluid pressure fail.
