Is this real, one of the pictures looked like the lot of cars from NY after sandy the flood cars

myk

I figure some of it has to be real; not EVERY car and truck is sold and they have to go somewhere...

Ghoste

Maybe they should build less.

I bet GM (Government Motors) has the most....

I don't see how any manufacturer would project that much in potential sales, especially with the economy in the state it's in.  Buying new cars just isn't en vogue, right now...

Ghoste

All of those photos seem to be in Europe.  I'm sure the domestics must have some laying around too but the article seems to be all overseas.

I would like to know where all the Chevy Volts are?  I travel for work and never see them... Apparently there are 70,000 sold - I call BS!

Bogus article.  Car companies may have a stock pile of cars awaiting distribution to dealers at launch, but to build that many cars and sit on them would be a financial drain on the company.  They may stock enough parts to build that many cars because they have to have a parts supply to last 10 years, but I doubt that they'd build thousands of cars just to collect dust.

think it depends where you are, look how many "stock piled " cars were destroyed  in the tsunami in japan  :Twocents:

QuoteBogus article.

:iagree:

The article implies there is something nefarious going on and the manufacturers just can't stop over producing cars. Soon the world will be overrun!
It's just cyclical backlog, shipping staging, and maybe a Sandy picture too.

My uncle used to tell me stories about how the fields at the C-body plant he worked in would be filled with thousands of new cars awaiting to be cleared out.  He also used to tell me how much fun :naughty: they had driving them out there.

How can it be bogus?  It's on the internet.

tan top

I recon its  cars waiting to  be transported to dealers as & when they need stock or sold a particular model   & also   stock piling where we going to put all these un sold cars type thing  ,  you have to figure this !! think how many cars are made every day by the worlds car manufactures !  got to be in the  thousands  :yesnod: well  , have to go some where if they are not sold , cant really to tell the production line to stop making cars for 6 months   all the other  companies  that are assoicated with that assembly plant or car manufacture in general will suffer  / close down / go bust  :shruggy:

The article was submitted by Tyler Durden?  Does Edward Norton know about this?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Hey Hey now...  Bogus artile or not, isn't this how we ended up seeing all of those rot boxes being auctioned for dumb money as zero mile cars?  :nana:

Tell them to make a batch of brand new reproduced 2nd-gen Chargers.  See how long those would remain unsold . . .

lexxman

Hell you would think with a surplus like that ,they would be giving them away. Cause really it would be better to sell them cheap, then have to pay for land to store them. I'd love to have a new car or truck, but not at the prices they asking.

C5X DAYTONA

More unwanted cars.
Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

I read an article online yesterday about how a large crowd gathered in just 2 minutes to watch the first public execution at the beach in New Jersey.

There was even a photo of it.

Discussed and vetted elsewhere on the internet. Reddit to be specific. Several people from around the world recognized the locations as staging areas for cars to be distributed.

Can't speak for others. but Chrysler builds cars per dealer orders, as 'sold" cars.
Wasn't always this way. Remember "sales banks" ? That got Chrysler in trouble!!!!!!!!!

I liked the photo of old Durangos waiting to be loaded on car carriers!   :smilielol:

Look for the May sales figures to be out tomorrow..........   Look for Chrysler to do well!    :2thumbs:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?
