Am pulling the pumpkin (8 3/4) from my 73 Charger to install it in my 72 Swinger.  But. It will be awhile before the install.  Any suggestions as to how I might store it, so it wont get messed up?

Also, Can I get a rear gear oil filler tube at any parts store?

Thanks
I used to have a handle on life....but it broke off.

I always store 3rd members in a sealed heavy plastic bag.

Most gear oil bottles have a filler spout built into the cap.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

gear oil available anywhere....for storage, do this:

get a 5 gallon bucket with handle, cut a piece of plywood in a round shape to put in bottom of bucket, wrap pumpkin in plastic trash bag and tie it closed....put pumpkin in bucket with yoke facing down to keep front seal moist with what lube is still in there.

this way you can move it around and it won't get dirty inside the gearing

Why this :  "Cut a piece of plywood in a round shape to put in bottom of bucket" ?

will

So it doesn't nose through the bottom of the bucket. Makes a stinking mess on carpet.

Good idea. But I would never store the skunk in a carpeted room.
