us indy mags new v old

I bought new us indy slot mags. They are highly polished they almost look like chrome. Does anybody remember the level of gloss they had back in the 70 s ? {compared to these new ones} they seem too shiny for slots and do not look correct. These new ones are made in china.

I remember them as being shiny new and getting dull really fast.
