Welcome back to the sunshine state, or the mosquito state, or the Hurricane state.  We have a car show meet every weekend here, if I wanted to go to them.  I usually go to one a month. I'm in Jacksonville.

My last two duty stations were NAS Glynco in Georgia and NAS Pensacola.

Pensacola was like The Promised Land compared to Georgia.

Hope Florida's good to you.......... Having been born there and grew up until 23, I took some of it for granted ( don't know what you have till it's gone ). I miss the palm trees, ocean breeze and clear water. All my childhood friends are still there for the most part.......... Now, growing up in Dade/Broward and Palm Beach County, that's about all I miss.......... I hear the West side is better..... Florida, during the 80's had a very active Mopar scene ( helped start the South Florida Mopar Club of which the Florida Mopar Connection spun off back in '81 - or thereabouts ).  You'll definitely have more car show opportunities, but watch out for those 3:30-4:00pm downpours in the Summer.....  ;)

Maybe one day I'll return........................... well, not likely.... Been there, done that..............

Enjoy the life Florida has to offer.....

Very Cool! Loved Florida & was there for the first time at the end of April into May. We rented a condo for a week on the beach near Clearwater/Madeira area & I have to say I will go back again as it was an awesome vacay!

PROBABLY, I'll be going to Florida in August for a week or so ( a friend of mine will marry and she wants me on there )

funny note... I'm allways moving coast to coast. In Caracas, I allways move from two neigbourghoods, where I live and where I work. Where I work it Calls LA CALIFORNIA, and where I live it calls LA FLORIDA... LOL

Sure!

Dunno if marriage will be in Orlando or Miami. Mostly sure Miami ( around Weston ) because is where her family is living.

Latelly lot of Venezuelans are moving to Weston, so Weston will be renamed Westonzuela LOL!

So I suppose you feel like your on vacation year round now. :2thumbs:

AKcharger

Well really it's like a vacation every week. I work out of Boston so 4 days a week I'm up there and then 3 days off in Florida.  The company I flew for in Alaska has a base in Boston, so I just transferred and with my seniority I get whatever schedule I want. The commute has been working out OK so far and as soon as it get's old I'll just quit and stay home with the cars
