A coworker keeps telling me his dog a really big. Some type of Malamute, but I forget which type. So he stopped in the office with his dog & he is right, its REEEEEALLY BIG!.

Glad I'm not the one that has to follow it with a shovel.

Even the biggest cat like the one above is still going to leave smaller land mines than that jumbo dog.  :smilielol:

At least you could see those dog logs and not step in them.  Nothing worse that cat crap on your shoes!

Now why are you stepping in litter boxes?

That's one big pussy.

what breed of cat is that    :o

He is a Maine Coon that weighs in at 21 pounds and it is all muscle. His claws are big and can do some real damage when he wants to 'play' LOL

We named him Cuda and it fits  ;)

I'm thinking a front end loader :o

The cat looks to be a Main Coon. Maine Coons are the second largest breed of domestic cat. Males weigh from 15 to 25 lb (6.8 to 11.3 kg) with females weighing from 10 to 15 lb (4.5 to 6.8 kg).[18] The height of adults can vary between 10 and 16 in (25 and 41 cm) and they can reach a length of up to 48 in (120 cm), including the tail, which can reach a length of 14 in (36 cm)[19] and is long, tapering, and heavily furred, almost resembling a raccoon's tail. The body is solid and muscular, which is necessary for supporting their own weight, and the chest is broad. Maine Coons possess a rectangular body shape and are slow to physically mature; their full potential size is normally not reached until they are three to five years old, while other cats take about only one year.[20] In 2010, the Guinness World Records accepted a male purebred Maine Coon as the "Longest Cat" measuring 48.5 in (123 cm) from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail.

how much does the Alaskan Malamute?  I thought 130lbs was the high end for those.  That looks St Bernard size.  Being a husky breed must be interesting when it decides to do a kissee attack.

George Lucas used to have an Alaskan Malamute back in the 1970s.  Driving around with the dog on the passenger seat, it looked like a big hairy guy riding shotgun.  And the concept of Chewbacca was born.

The other interesting thing about Lucas's old Malamute was his name:  Indiana.

I'm a cat person too although I have always loved German shepards. I'd have one now but with my damned back
I couldn't walk it as much as dogs require plus one could pull me to ground easily.

The VA is slicing and dicing my back in early June so who knows, maybe I'll have dog in the future.

ACUDANUT

Looks like a Alaskan Malamute. Their fur makes them seem bigger than they really are. They are however, bigger than a husky.
I love our Malamute.

Have you ever seem a Irish wolfhound ? They trot around like a horse and are huge.

I asked my coworker how much his dog weighed when I saw him today & he said about 180 pounds & he is 3 years old.  :o

A few months ago I was at the doctor & he weighed me in at about 170 if I recall. Last time I met a dog that weighed more than I did was probably before I went to kindergarten when I was 3 years old.

Forgot to ask which Malamute it was.  :shruggy:

I had a mutt that only weighed 65 or 70 pounds but when he ripped one, especially after finding old food in the compost bin, he could clear the neighborhood. I bet this big dog can puncture ear drums & cause nose bleeds.

But with a cat you have a box full of poop in your house at all times.   Lay down to sleep at night?  Box of poop.  Watching a little TV?  Box of poop.  Eating dinner?  Box of poop.

My dogs have an area of the yard I don't venture into to do their business.   It's easy to pick out - I just look for the green grass :)
