Rolling chassis is done. Not sure what I should focus on next?

I am going to buy a transmission and build a 512 stroker motor next year so I could always save my $ for that, but in the meantime should I get the wiring done or interior?

Thoughts?

DTB

That sure is a sharp looking color for that car.

Troy

Wiring. Can't do the wiring *after* the interior... ;)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Thanks DTB!

Yah, I guess you are correct on the wiring. It needs all new wiring  :flame:

Ghoste

Not to mention bad wiring can cause endless electrical headaches at best and a fire at worst.  The worst thing that a ratty interior might cause is a spring to poke you in the ass.

comet_666

Oh believe me I know, when I bought the car it had been rewired using all the same color wire. Needless to say there was a small electrical fire.

Looks sharp, but you're not getting away with just one picture the does'nt even show the whole car...... soon other guys are gonna start whining also so come on lets see some more pictures....
Oh and the wires go under the carpet so guess what goes in first...

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

comet_666

Oh yah! Well now to decide on RF wiring, Painless, or YO. I want to put aftermarket gauges in the cluster (they are all pretty much shot anyhow)

I have pics all over the site, I think this one is in like 5 different posts but here goes.

That's a dash harness. Not so easy with a dome light or anything going to the back of the car. Heck, even the dash wiring is a lot easier if your dash is sitting on a stand outside the car.  ;) Of course, on a regular Charger without options like power windows and rear defrost, you probably could reach just about everything except the dome light after the interior is in. It won't be as easy - but possible.

Yes, much easier before the interior is restored.

I have a painless kit laying around to go in my car. But only because I got it for free from someone who owed me money....
I graduated as an electrician so I'll get the job done.

If i had to choose I'd go for a Ron Francis harness. Not stock, but good stuff.

YO is closer to stock but honestly I find the nasty taped together stuff so cheap I rather make my own custom wire loom. that will take longer but will look way better in the end. Again I never intend to go 110% stock looking

Was just checking out RF yesterday, seeing as I am going to get all new gauges and I think it's less than $300 this might be the way to go.

Loving that color! What size tires are your running? Let us know how the wiring goes...I'm far from wiring, but always contemplating going with the original stuff from YO or aftermarket.

Good thoughts; with such a beautifully done exterior it makes no sense to skip or skimp on the electrics...

comet_666

Thanks for the kind words guys! Just needs a few things like engine and transmission and wiring and interior....maybe next year it will be on the road.

Tires are
