Hey guys I'm debating selling my Grille (unless theres someone out there willing to restore it for me for a decent price), since I plan on using a coronet grille, mainly cuz I don't have the knowledge/ skills necessary to restore mine/ cant afford a mint on haha)

I'm not wanting to rip someone off, and also don't want ripped off myself, curious of a fair price to ask

The center is in primer but I for the life of me cant remember when I did it or why  :scratchchin:

I'd grab a few cans of spray paint, roll of painter's tape, and a weekend and have yourself a nice looking grille.  What is it your not comfortable doing in relation to grille resto?

ChargerD100

Couple of plastic pieces where bolts go are broken off and a few fins are broke and there's here n there pieces that I'm not sure are broke I'll try getting some pics of the areas this week the grille is in my grandpas shed

You cant afford a new one but if you keep it you might be able to find pieces to replace the broken parts.

Fixing the broken plastic with polyester resin is alot easier then replacing the whole rear sheetmetal of a Charger. (dont ask me how i know that).
It takes alot of patience but it's perfectly reparable.
i'm sure you'll get tired of the coronet grill at one point later on in your life. then you'll regret selling the grille.

i have no intention of selling any old part of my 69 before the restration is complete.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

If you were to sell it what would you want for it?

There are lots of plastic repair products out there. Just jump in and do it. Even if you decide to sell it after you work on it, it will still bring decent money. Only thing you can be out is a little time and whatever plastic repair product you decide to use.

I look at restoration as learning many new things.  Plastic repair is just one of many skills to acquire.  If you don't learn the skills and just sell everything you can't tackle you'll end up selling off the whole Charger in the end.

A whole 10 seconds of Googling came up with this:

Yeah I looked that up homerr, maybe I'll sit and think about it more, I mean the entire reason I bought a 69 was how much I like the grille

Have you contacted this guy to see how much he would charge to fix it?   http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,72672.0.html

Something I need to do myself for mine :scratchchin:

You can fix this, really, you can.  Find a piece of busted grille for donor fins and plastic for the top and practice before you stick it in the grille.  There's really not much to it.  All it requires is your time.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Nobody knows how to do anything until they try it!

There are some great threads on the forum. Read up, get the supplies, and dig in.

I didn't have any broken fins but plenty of broken tabs and such. I used black schedule 40 waste pipe (abs) and abs glue and it worked like a champ and is still holding strong. I'm pretty sure the grille is abs anyway

What all these guys say. You CAN do it. Jock up and make it happen........you are a MOPAR owner.

I believe Moparstuart endorses him, and I intend to see what he can do with mine before making a decision since he's semi local in this area.

You can only try pal, have a look at the threads on here , before people on here had skills they had to learn them, trial and error , best advice read , and give it a go ,
So many guys on here have taught themselves to do many things on there cars , I had to , otherwise would have to pay someone to do it that I couldn't afford,
