Year? Specs? Heads? I see 6 bolt valve covers but that doesnt mean squat without numbers.

:Twocents:, didn't these engines have special intakes , cross ram or off set twin fours ?
So intake missing or this I not whats it made out to be ,
I'm sure engine guys on here with knowledge with the casting numbers will chime in soon
Doesn't seem like any thing special to me , dizzy s missing also , that's a unique piece also , ?

fy469rtse

Sorry ment to say distributors the wrong one
If street wedge ,
What's with the two barrel choked intake ?  , that's no street wedge part
has pad up the front similar to a 440 ?

tan top

1852029  is a  HD  413 truck block  ,  this block was also used for the 413 max wedge motor  ,

Does it turn over?  Do you have to keep the squirrel food on the intake?  It's worth about as much as any other two barrel big block IMO.

DadsCharger00

At this time all I know is hes sending more pics....says it says 426 on the block....I know nothing else at this time.  Hes looking to get rid of it....and I dont know squat about these motors if its worth my time at all

1852029 426 1962-65 RB Wedge

1852029 413 1959-62 RB Max Perf. & Truck

They used that casting number on two blocks for those years listed above.

DadsCharger00

Is it anything to waste his and my time on?

Slowpoke

Back in 1982 I built a 1964 413 block I acquired into a copy of a 64 nascar motor, same cam, carb and ignition. Put it into my charger for a few years. the car was not bad off the line but from 60 up it nothing local could touch it.  :icon_smile_big:
68 R/T LL1
under restoration for the last 25 years

maxwellwedge

Well - It is an RB.....If it is a 426 - 14 cubes less than a 440....If it is a 413 - 27 cubes less. Like someone already said....depends on the price and what heads are on it.

c00nhunterjoe

Based on the i take im betting it does not have max wedge heads on it, thus probably just being a truck motor. Get a casting number on the heads. They will be the make or break for the deal in my opinion.

:shruggy:
If I am reading the numbers correctly.  Appears to be 2899943.

2899 943   71-77 361 Truck / 413

maxwellwedge

Can't make out all the numbers but........2899 913   60-71 413 Truck no info on valve size.....probably small.

DadsCharger00

yeah, so it looks like the block is probably a street wedge, but not the heads or the intake....so pry pass?

John_Kunkel

The stamped data on the top pad will tell all.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

DadsCharger00

so the guy is trying to trade me for some parts...he also has a set of 346 ported and polished heads...would would those be worth? Or they not worth anything either....(sorry in advance, not to smart when it comes to this engine stuff)

Without knowing this guy or who did the work, then you possibly could buy/trade for someone elses mistake.
I believe those heads came out in 71 and they had hardened seats but do not hold me too that.
