Old Moparz has a thread with a big pussy & this is some bad ass pussy.   :coolgleamA:

Don't let cats fool you.  There's several breeds that are very protective of their family.  Now would I want a cat to protect my family...no.  But they sure could help our Golden.  He loves everyone,  ;)

It's funny, our Golden plays with our 2 cats but any other pussy that comes on our property drives him nuts.

I used to not think that way always blaming owners'.  That is until a good friend of our's family pit bull got out of the backyard & bit a neighbor kid.  Kid wasn't doing anything wrong & the dog was raised by a caring family with 2 girls under the age of 12.
What's the excuse for that?  I have a pretty good idea.

Our new neighbors' down the road look to have one or it's been visiting.  I have our Golden cabled up in the front yard.  Rusty is such a happy, everyone's my friend dog that if he seen a Pit Bull running full bore at him he'd be all excited thinking, "oh boy, here comes a dog to play with, yippee skippee.  He would never know what hit him.   :rotz:

Crazy part, the family I 1st mentioned...their opinions of Pits' turned 180.  They were at a loss for words when trying to explain what happened.
They had the dog put down the next day, didn't need to wait cause all shots were up to date or something.

Another reason I prefer cats over dogs.  :yesnod:

Funny how that video is well produced with numerous shots and angles of the event.   :scratchchin:

Are you practicing for a career in the media? I don't know that I'd credit the cat with saving a life. That's a fair stretch! Did it cause the dog to stop? Yes. But the mother was right there too (although sometimes one wonders if cats aren't better at fending off predators better than stupid humans). Would the cat have attacked the dog if it were just sunning itself in the yard? Maybe. It's a nice story but let's not put too much into it.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

twodko

After watching the vid again I wonder why the mom left the kid instead of grabbing her up?
It's possible that dog could have come around again. Who knows.
I have seen the aftermath of several pit bull attacks on kids and elderly folks.
I believe pits have a natural tendency to attack anything unprovoked, doesn't matter
how well they are raised.
Same thing with a few other breeds like the prensa carnario breed.  :Twocents:

The Mother seen the dog circling back and went to run it off and also got bit in the process.

The dog had to at least bite the Mom to save face from the other neighborhood dogs at the local fire hydrant from cat-ass whoopin' it got.   ;D

Well there is that.....can't look bad in front of the guys.

I have never seen such a brave act from a cat.  I hate pit bulls, period.

Looks as if the dog is a female, bet the cat is a female also. (never get between a mother and her cub), Good kitty!
Google pit bull attacks on children. not for the faint at heart.

How did this become about pit bulls?  Was that a pit bull?  It didn't look like one to me.

dual fours

Looks like a mix breed. I've been bit by three different breeds of dogs (did not tease them either) in my lifetime, come to think of it, all females.

EXACTLY.  I could understand maybe ONE camera aimed at your property in the hopes of catching something happening, but who has three or four cameras pointed at their property in the hopes of catching something?  Then, they take the time to actually edit all of the footage into a smooth video.  I say this video is as real as Tera Patrick's new breasts...

ODZKing

Huh! I actually had to google that.  Yep ... fake!!!!!!   :D

to me it looks like they were set up to film the" nasty" dog next door for evidence against owners  and it got out of hand  :scratchchin:

That was awesome !!  Regardless of breed, the cat acted out of protection. There's no way that was staged... No one would sacrifice their kid in the spirit of a video.........

x2
And I'm not even a cat person.

Seems it was caught on security cameras. Obviously there was more than one security camera monitoring their home.
The cat may or may not have have acted out of protection, but if anything else it definitely scared the dog away. Good pussy!!!  :icon_smile_big:

I agree. I know a lot of homes, that have lots of camera's recording everything.
