"New-to-me" - one of the qty 259 '68 4-bbl 4-speed Chargers for sale

As a lot of you know I keep my eye on these very rare machines. This one has a 440 in place of the missing 383, with a 3.55 SG. It also has the fender tag missing (paint shop "lost" it   ) and an incorrect vin (XP29H8B4317554 (one number too many - probably one "5" too many). Anyhow, it is a late model build, probably June 1968. Very hard to tell what is original

It's purdy........mostly. I hate the seat upholstery.......it's not a Range Rover. You'd think they could have
taken an extra five minutes to tape off the door latches. 

68 owners will see EVERYTHING fo sho. Seems pricey.

Price seems high with no documentation.

I like it. I don't mind the seat coloring as I think a little color in typically bland interiors is a good thing.  What don't like about the seats is that they're stock-style seats which means they have no support at all.  Otherwise, pedigree or not a Charger in great shape will command a sale price like that auction, whether it has the right body tags or not...

I'd like it MUCH MORE as a stock 383 4-speed without all the extras! ...and "yes" that includes whatever the hell is underneath the trunk mat!!

I was diggin' it until I scrolled down to the hideous pics of the interior. Why go thru all the trouble making the interior stock and you ruin it by the STUPID seat design, the STUPID gauges hanging under the dash and an old school aftermarket stereo instead of going stock.

And yea what's up with the trunk mat
