It looks to be that the two main suppliers for these are PG Classics and BEA, the price is close so I'm interested in comments about either.

Back N Black

I have the PG Classic repro lights, no issues, fit great.

I bought mine off of year one. They fit great and plugged right in. Just installed them a few weeks ago.

The pg and Bea ones are the same. I sent mike from Bea a nice original set to duplicate , and I've used a few sets. They are nice.

Same parts other than the Bea parts a licensed with Chrysler which isn't necessary in Canada apparently .

Do these have the black paint on the lenses?  Mine are getting a little weathered after nearly half a century.

I have charger specialities hood turn signal set up , there is no blackout borders/ edges of the lense ,  had to mask them with fineline & paint them :yesnod:
also no rubber boots on the bulb socket !!   having said all this  I got mine 14 / 15 years ago   , might have changed by now  :shruggy:

I think I've seen both although the ones with the border may have been nos.

Seems about half the ones I see online have blackout and boots and the rest not.

they originally had a black border from the factory though !  just sun / weather conditions over time  made it disappear I believe

I have the same and for prolly the same time.  I just recently painted mine black ;)
I was given a set of boots & terminal ends from Mike at BE/A a few years back....the boots pretty much turned to dust in a year :rotz:

I just checked BE/A and the lenses do have the black borders, but I don't see any boots in the pictures although the description says they are included.  That's pretty bad that they turn to dust so fast, my original ones are dry rotted but still functional.  Still, all needs replacing, the lenses are turning white and I'm missing one of the clamps holding the unit to the hood.

I needed a clamp as well, so I ordered one as a stand alone from YO.  I hate dealing with them but I wanted to get new wiring harnesses throughout the car plus some other items and they had a 30% sale over the weekend so that covered their shipping.

I had no idea YO sold those separately.  Then again I never check their website anyway because of the whole shipping thing.  When I'm driving, one of my instrument panel turn indicators lights up a bit and pulses.  RPM has no effect on it and it happened shortly after I installed the new turn signal switch and cam so I thought I must have a bad ground.  Both indicators on the dash work though.  Then I noticed the ds hood indicator stopped working and it turned out to be a loose ground there.  The ground is normally provided by that clamp but since it was missing the po ran the wire to a bolt that had snapped off.  The wire, not the bolt.   ;)

Maybe that's why the instrument panel indicator acts up.   :shruggy:

I may just fabricate a clamp for now, eventually I'm going to have to bite the bullet and spend the $200+ for the kit.

It was either them or Roseville Chrysler, I forget now.  I ordered a bunch of stuff from both places at the same time but I'm pretty sure everything from YO was electrical.

Dino

Found it and not paying that, I'll make my own.   :yesnod:

These a-holes charge over $100 more for the kit by the way.  That's insulting.

Wow, that's just for one too, the 30% off doesn't help much.

Cheaper than buying a whole new kit though if thats all you need. ;)

Year one and their jacked up prices and continuous revolving cycle of blank percent off sales..... If they had normal prices like most of the others they would be a lot better off....

Getting off topic but I have to wonder if the Mopar segment are the only group who see it?  They seem to stay in business so someone is buying from them regularly.  :shruggy:

Maybe it's because I have only had my car a year, and while I was always interested in mopars, I never looked at parts and stuff. So when I needed some, I looked for them, found them and bought them. I probly bought 3 grand worth of stuff off of year one this winter. And another grand spread around between pg and classic. I was happy with the quality of all the stuff I got and although year one seems to be out of stock and waiting for it to come in almost all the time, it was winter and I could wait. My hood indicators are great, I bought the entire kit off year one. Naive newbie I guess. But a happy one. I did at least make sure to buy when they had 25 of 30% sales.
