Fender Rail repair

Whats the best way to replace the fender rail on the engine compartment? Can I buy a replacement and have it welded?

Inner fender or fender apron. $230 Auto metal direct.

If the only rust you have is on the upper flange as shown in that picture, I'd just use a sheet break and bend my own patch and weld it in.

yeah if that's the only rot , fabricate a bit &  patch it

thanks guys but as with most of these yrs the hood hinge mount is rusted too...may just replace the apron

I replaced just the section where the hood hinges attach back in the '80s and am now replacing the entire inner fender panel. I can't complain, the repair lasted almost twice as long as the original sheet metal did.

30 yrs is worth it but these are pretty bad...for 450.00 I can replace both brand new...think thats the route for me...then cutting and replacing the floor pans...
so I will soda blast the frame and the rest...wont be so bad and I dont have to ship it anywhere...
