The ancient Goodyear Wingfoot white letter tires are ou & grandpa white lines are now on. If the car wasn't a survivor, I would have gotten redline insteads, but the car came with whites, and I do like the look of them on this car.

Stevearino

Gotta say it really makes this car look very crisp. :coolgleamA:

Ghoste

Actually with that colour combo I think the whiteline tires are more appropriate anyway. Looks good.

TUFCAT

It looks perfect. :yesnod: Some cars are better suited for white -stripe tires....case in point that's why I have white-stripe tires on my Coronet.

I tried relines first, but it looked like a clown car from Barnum and Bailey's  :badidea:

Charger-Bodie

Looks awesome. It looks better with the white walls than letters.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Ghoste

The car at the top and Tufcats both show that certain color combos have that understated elegance that merely slapping a high price and a Cadillac badge can't necessarily attain.

The narrow whitewalls look "right" on that color combination of Charger. Are they bias-ply or radials? Just wondering.

Amazing how a small change can make a dramatic effect.  Looks great

The look great! Really compliments the color combo well.

They are BF Goodrich radial TA's  & I got them from Diamondback tires. Not cheap though.  :eek2:

Although I am sure the radial T/A's are great, I might have been tempted to put bias-ply tires on it as it came from the factory!  That said, it was probably just a few pennies more to go with radial tires as opposed to bias-ply.  Both with narrow whitewalls are doggone expensive!

Just a side-note, I am an old fart but the bias-ply tires are pretty easy to drive on for me. However, with the "day-two" look on my Charger and blackwall tires also, I went with radial tires and am very happy!  Got to say, the original F70-15 Wide Oval Redline tires look mighty skinny on it! They do drive very well, though!

don duick

3 things wrong with this car it has a split in the grill long tail lights and it does not have round lights on the side.

TPR

I'm a fan of that combo.  :2thumbs:

I probably would have put on bias repops myself. As original as that one is. The car does look great though.  :2thumbs:

Personally I wouldn't change a thing.  I don't think you could make that car any sexier than it is.  It is definitely one of favorites here.

Nice look Turbin.  So do you have 3 rigs' now?
I had a '72 Charger bought from the original owner's daughter & I put the white walls on.  If it wasn't a grandpa looking car before, it was then.

As we all know, Chargers need wide tires to fill out the wheelwells and I just couldn't bring myself to put those skinny 7.75 motorcycle tires on it.

charge69

I've seen a lot of motorcycles with wider back tires installed than the original-size tires on our Chargers! :icon_smile_big:

RE: starting a new thread with your title!  I, actually thought I was writing in Your thread but ......... My computer said my answer took too long and timed out and to enter a new one, so I did!  I was surprised to see it started as a new thread!  Oh well, I never said I knew my way around a computer! Too old for that and things are hard enough out there to stay up with current trends for my old azz!

There is a product out there to make your own white walls.
Found out about it on the h.a.m.b. forum.Member there used white roofing coating.
Granted this is not for a higher end show car,but for the local show n shine crowd it works great.
