You know, I'm almost sad to see you finish this car. It's rare to see such a high quality build like yours and Steve's. You guys have spoiled us!

As always, fantastic work Pat.   :2thumbs:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Mike,
Farecla G3 is hard to find but an awesome first cut compound used with a wool bonnet.  What makes it so great is after you have compounded a panel you can spray the bonnet with some water and it read liquefies the compound but at a much finer version and when you do it multiple times you see the shine come out just using that product alone.
Thanks guys
Pat

That's what I use.....brilliant stuff to remove scratches too. Most car parts places stock it here......plus we use it at my work.....which is...erm....handy! :icon_smile_big:

Here's the web site:
https://www.farecla.com/product_groups/g3/

Of course there's more than one and the packaging doesn't look the same...

Lots of YouTube videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A56acHlFQ8

And you can get it on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=farecla+g3&ul_noapp=true

When I get to that point in 15 years I hope I can get some! :D It looks great!

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Looking marvellous as always. You sure you want to drive it afterwards and not just put it in a big matchbox carton to keep it pretty?  :icon_smile_big:

Pat. If you have time could you give us a quick run down of which mops you use and in which order?
I bought a machine polisher that came with a wool mop, flat mop made of a dense sponge and another sponge mop that has raised bumps all over cutting side of it. Hope that makes sense.
There were no instructions so I used the flat ones to cut out my 2000 grit sanding marks. I finished off with the wool mop. The paint polished up nice but I don't if I did it right as no instructions came with the machine.

Cheers,

Matt.

That would be really cool, but I do plan on driving this car.  Right now I'm shooting for 2019 power tour.
Thank you!

Matt,

The 3M products are color match to the pad along with the number so it's very easy to keep track of which pad works with each compound or polish however the G3 product works with a wool bonnet.  I'm no expert but I think you'll speed the process up if you sand to at least 2500 grit.
Good luck and thank you!
Pat
