Help - 70 Engine Codes ??

Hi folks,

I know this has been discussed before, but I have been reading some conflicting posts regarding engine stampings. I have a 70 Charger R/T 440 and found the markings on the front lip:

F440
B (sideways)
8 1 1(may be a lower case L, hard to tell) HP

I think the F440 is 1970 440, but am not sure on the others.

In addition, where can I locate the engine VIN stamp? Can someone provide a picture with an arrow please?

The VIN pad is on the passenger side of the block, down low just above the oil pan.
