Anyone near Chicago that may have seen this one in person. Am over 4 hrs from it
1969 Dodge Charger RT/SE Mr.Norms number Matching running 440 came out of a large collection has every option factory Leather -cruise control and a lot more.

 yeah for the last 3ish years 80% of  the 69s & 68s  they been selling have been suposadly  mr norms cars  :P  , at least one rebody too , been loads of threads !! :yesnod:

easy to slap a mr norm's sticker on the window and claim mr norm's,  i'd like to see a closeup of the sticker to see how fresh it is, it should look aged, cracked and faded to be an original sticker.  (I've got mr norm's decals on my 2010 challenger, i'm a member of their club) have a GS Dodge sticker to put on the charger bumper, just not sure i want to do it since i doubt its ever been up north.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

That car has definitely been up for the better part of a year and a half....in today's current market for Gen 2 Chargers that is saying something.

So as just a typical 69 r/t se car. Assume it's runnable and driving, what would you consider this mostly complete car to be worth? $9-12k? Must of had previous body work? No backup lights in the rear valance..

Is it really that hard to find a nice 2nd gen for sale? Considering what people will take for them I'd think it wasn't that rare to find one on the market somewhere, especially if someone was willing to wait six months to a year while searching.  I can understand the rarity of a real GS car or an RT SE, there just weren't that many RT SE's made, only 4600 if i remember right, but there were lots of RT's, enough to still find a few around if you look hard.  And were willing to pay for one.

I don't think its an issue of cars being hard to find, rather no one wants to pay the 40-50K price tag that accompanies a decent car...

To be honest you're likely to spend close to 40k getting one into real nice driver condition, provided you start with a good base package to begin with, you'd pay much more for a nuts and bolts rotisserie job which is beyond my intent or desire.  If you really wanted one bad, they shouldn't balk at 30-35k for a driver or 50k for an older full resto.  The newer generation of owners don't seem to hesitate much in buying 50k SRT8's or dreaming of 70k hellcat blower assisted 392 cars, spending 40k for a real example of a musclecar shouldn't phase people much.  I still prefer the body of the 2nd gen charger over any other muscle car of the era.  Not my fault I got mine cheap, got it a loooooong time ago and just held on to it a long time.

And it depends where you are too, if you are limited to searching online its easy to find a place like HLPAG or the much more expensive brokers.  If you look at something like the classifieds in MCG almost every Charger for sale ad is HLPAG.
