I removed the rear axle assy, and I am about to remove the front end so I can paint the underside of my '69. The car is currently sitting on four jack stands, how does one move a car body around the shop if need be without spending hundreds of $$ for special tools from summit or us car tool?
I would love to hear what you guys do/have done.

A buddy of mine took some angle iron and large dolly wheels and welded together a jig of sorts to set the car on and move one around.  I've seen similar work made out of wooden 2X4's.

I made legs with castors on the bottom, plate welded to two and these were drilled to fit and bolt up to front spring hangers at rear,
Angle used and bolted to where the front bumper irons go into sides at front , look for my thread on build , I think you can see them in some shots with paint,
But I think you get the idea, legs with wheels , bolted up to factory mounting points
Just so you can move it around

did you have to brace the "apparatus" side to side or front to back for stability? or is it not necessary
