Anyone ever have try the edlebrock torker 2 plus cam shaft number 5092? I just picked one up cheap, 25 bucks brand new still in box from a friend of mine. What's the opinion on this? is this a roller cam? can't find on edelbrock's site, two other sites list it, one says hydraulic roller, other says hydraulic flat tappet, same part number?

Is that the Edelbrock cam?  I think thats a flat tappet if it is.

Hmmmm.  Kinda seems like no one is wanting to respond.  Did not look it up, I'm assuming it is a flat tappet.

It has slow moving ramps, kinda old school.  It will have more bark than bite on the performance side.  It should be very easy on parts (springs, lifters, rockers, pushrods).  If you are looking for a high performance /rumpity  type idle, but not looking for every bit of power corresponding to the sound, it will be a fine cam.

That cam is very similar to the Comp 280 Magnum grind. It'll want a 2500 stall and 3.91 gears for best performance.   :yesnod:
