One rule of thumb I always use is.........."RESTIFY!" is to keep it alive(no matter what the vehicle is)by means of any way possible!
i.e.....maybe different eng./trans/interior/color....etc.,etc.

To "RESTORE!"   Means to bring it back to its original state.......i.e. ......what it looked like when it rolled off the showroom floor!

Now maybe thats a bit narrow minded but thats what I believe!                   2fast

5 years to restore, every nut and bolt new, restoration complete in 2005, less than 1000 on restore, bucket seats, console - everything brand new, ceramic coated headers, Kragger centerline wheels, chrome, dual exhaust, complete Rotisserie restoration, immaculate condition (show winner), 4 brand new tires  :o

Whoa! you mean after a nut and bolt resto he's going to throw in 4 new tires!  what a deal :yesnod:   :icon_smile_big:

i'm suprised it's not a "frame-off Resto"..  ;D

QuoteTo "RESTORE!"   Means to bring it back to its original state.......

how about the guys that RESTORE there cars from the ground up and paint all the underneath. thats not the original state of the car when it came out of the factory but there restored cars.  :icon_smile_big:

When you check out the feedback history on these guys you find out the real story. Lots of folks had complaints but the sellers were able to mitigate several of them down. Even so there are a bunch of negatives on there as well as tons of neutrals too.

They are some kind of a consignment scam scum

Probably about $50K too high.

I'd say $60k too high.  That car should be about $8000...

Nice car, and have to appreciate the work the ad claims/appears someone put into it. But wow, way too much of course :ahum:, I agree. Also agree with the comments about restify vs. restore. And what is that block?

It's just an asking price from another misinformed (perhaps legally insane) dealer. Now if someone actually paid that much, then we could have a nice discussion.  ;)
