Hello I am getting my charger ready for a rebuilt motor to be installed in 1 month. I am cleaning and repairing anything that I can while motor is out. I would like to remove the ac/heater box assembly under the dash frame but not sure if it can be done with the dash assembly in. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Yes it can be done (I assume its a 2nd gen you're working on).  Its obviously easier with the dash and glass removed but its not necessary. Maybe the service manual can help you.

Ghoste

It sure can.  Its another of those contortionist jobs but it can certainly be done.

Not "hard to do" just a lot of stuff to pull. A/C ducts, glove box, control connections, under hood stuff and so on.

Remove your front seats, at least the passenger side. Much easier working up under the dash.
