Is the FSM kind of generic in the electrical section. On my fuse block, the battery feed comes to the line side with a  red wire with tracer. The load side has 5 leads, mostly pink. The FSM only shows 2 wires on the load side, a red and a pink. I'm confused. thanks. lw.

No, it should be specific.

Hi,

As Ghoste said it should be specific. What year car are you working on? there's always the chance with an old car someone has made changes. It might also be because certain options were installed on the car. You might have to hunt through the manual a bit for information on how those options were wiring in.

Thanks for the replys Ghoste and Pete. The car is a 68 charger. Was a 383 2 barrel. Here is a pic of the fuse block. It looks stock to me with no additional wiring. I looked through the manual but unable to find any changes. Reason I'm asking is after I got dash in and car together, I was having a dead battery after 2 days of so of not starting. I disconnected neg battery cable and took a amp reading between batt. post and cable and saw I was losing .2 amps through the heater circuit. Which has 5 leads coming off of it. The manual only shows a red and pink. Thanks.lw

Try taking one of those wires off one at a time from the load side of the fuses until that .2 amp reading goes away. Then follow that lead to what it powers. That should be an easy way to find the sneak path.

At .2 amps it sounds like a light bulb somewhere.

from memory that looks normal for a  A01 light group package car  & or one with  a glove box light & centre console ,  :yesnod:

OK so I did some things under the dash and got the reading down to 6.8 ma with everything hooked up. I was wondering how to remove the other load leads on the rest of the fuse block. Do they pry out.

Those connections are called "fast-on" terminals and should all pull off. They can be a little tight at times. Never pull on the wire, always pull or pry off on the metal.

6.8 MA of leakage is quite low, you may not be able to get it down to zero.

Thanks Pete, I was wondering about that.lw
