First post.  Might as well make it a good one.

I need a set of wheels for my 72 charger (yellow with a black top) and i cant decide what to get.  So far im leaning twords 2 different options

AR500 17"x9.5" with nitto 555 315/35r17s in back and 17"x8" with 245/40r17s in front (i hear a nitto 315 will fit on a 9.5" wheel even though many other 315s wont?)

or

15" steels (Bassett?) - 15"x10" with some kind of 315 in back and 15x8 with some kind of 245 in front

cost is of course an issue so the steels are a great choice.  Plus, they can look good in a mean kind of way too IMHO.  BUT! at some point i may want to take it to the road course at which point a more modern and lower profile tire would be nice, plus i can fit larger brakes in the future if i want.

now, there is a 17" steel wheel but they only come in 9" which isnt terrible but then id get a 285 tire because choices are very limited at 295 and i dont think a 315 is a great idea on a 9".  i dont see many tier choices for 16" either.

with the 315 it sounds like i will need to relocate the springs which isnt a huge deal i dont think...

cant make up my mind!   I would love to hear some opinions.  Thanks

Welcome aboard!

I really like the Magnum, but not on the 72.

If it was me I would pick the "Mopar Rallye" wheel, the second best looking wheel out there.   :yesnod:

myk

The 17" wheel set for sure.

Have you considered the Torq-Thrust family of wheels?  I don't think there's a vehicle on this planet that doesn't immediately look cooler with Torq-Thrusts on them.  Go for the II, D, M, etc.
