This started out as a search for a part on the swap meet pages when I discovered I really didn't know what I was looking for.

So my question is this:  What is the correct thermostat housing for a 1969 Charger 383 with A/C?  Does anybody have a part number?

A383Wing

I replied in the other thread....I would think they would be the same as 66-67.....maybe...hose needs to clear AC compressor..not touch it

Assuming you mean #21  it is 2780970 (67 up to 1972)

According to my research, in 1966 #1855605
(I can not find a picture of it but I suspect it supersedes to 2780970 but can't confirm)

Then in 73 # 3698565

A383Wing

I don't see how either of those housings in the links will work on an AC car.....

There is no listings for with or without A/C. Here is what is in my 73 (with A/C).

I found one at the High Impact Mopar Mega Meet today in Omaha.  I also did some research by looking at all the factory big block A/C cars at the show.  As it turns out pre 1968 is the angled neck and post 1968 is the stubby straight unit.  So, A383Wing was correct.
