I'm rebuilding my steering column. I have a new lower steering column bearing, but there was no bearing in it when I pulled  the column. The car is a '70 auto on the column, the 3 hole bearing is supposed to fit. I've looked all over , but can't find a picture of the bottom of a '70 column showing this bearing in place. I have seen a '69 where the bearing attaches to the column housing, but the '70 doesn't have the overhang to bolt the bearing to(w/auto on column, in service manual manualshift on column does have place for bearing). Does anyone have pics of this bearing or know how it goes in a '70 auto on column? Thanks.  :shruggy:

I have never seen a 70 column with a lower brg it may have a nylon plug to seal the bootom but it is not a brg or support , more of a dust seal i

I ordered it from yr one, but I've sense checked all over & they all show the bearing w/3 hole for a auto column shift '70. I noticed that a '71 has a nylon & rubber lower plug, maybe this works for my '70? Anyone know what does work & where I can get it? Thanks.

Does anyone have a '70 w/column shift automatic? I can't seem to find pics or info on this part.  :ahum:
