Having a lot of trouble getting a set of seat tracks for one bucket seat, anyone got a parts interchange manual so I can expand my search here in Australia ,
I have set for one bucket, but I'm sure that dodge like usual used parts in many models and body styles
Part numbers for originals , should have looked on my own before I dropped them off to be blasted, not even sure which side set I have, one side track shorter than the other , that's the outside one correct ?, has the lever on it to adjust seat position, slightly tapered in hight towards front ,
Another question, do they have the spaces to all four mounting bolts on each seat ?

Ghoste

68 and 69 are the same.  I have an interchange manual so I'll try and look that up for you.

Thanks ghoste, frustrating , found  a few on E gouge but sellers don't want to ship outside US ,

Ghoste

So you just need one but you aren't sure yet as to which side correct?

fy469rtse

Passenger seat , right side, or as you guys say pass side , we have a lot of similar models and rebadged c body's and early darts, valiants over here, just hoping if I know what else these tracks were used in will help my search for a donor set,

Hey guys, anyone know how to disassemble these seat tracks? I have them off of my bucket seats and want to disconnect them to clean them, sand blast, powder coat, and grease them. But I can't figure out how to separate the too and bottom tracks...

fy469rtse

Pull the lever that's adjusts movement front and back, there's a bolt in each end of track that bolts it to seat frame, you will need to slide track back each way to get to them , they have a square shank to bolt that holds it in place, so you only have to get to the nuts, don't loose these bolts or the nuts

I have the tracks off of my seat, I literally meant separating the top and bottom track. I don't see any other bolts or nuts that are keeping the upper and lower track from sliding apart...

Sorry Jeff , misunderstood what you meant , no that part does not separate ,
You can take the return spring off and slide the tracks open as far as you can if just for clean up and detailing , just did mine this way

No mean to hack this thread but fy469rtse did you ever get your seat track studs situated? I cannot find any flat head carriage bolts. Only the elevator bolts which have a larger diameter head, like
1 1/4" and they only come in standard grade (5).

Thanks

I found some listed as carriage bolts , yes mine had the heads too large also , as long as that square shank part will fit into track, I just cut the head on one side so it will fit up against the side of track, they had grade 5 and grade 8 , not correct for a concourse but safe and new bolts that I didn't have,
As long as you tracks will pass over the head of bolts, job done

So did you end up using 5 or 8 grade? Also I'm not concerned about concourse.

Thanks

grade 5 will do , glad your not worried about concourse , because i just dont think you will find them

Yep I hear you on that.
Thanks for your info
I'll be on the look out for "Elevator Bolts"

Hey guys, just an update in the event anyone is interested... I lef6 my seat tracks together instead of trying to bend the tabs and separate them. I first threw them in the parts cleaner for a day to break down and dissolve as much grease as possible. Then I sandblasted them until all of the metal was "white". That step took around an hour and a half for each one. It was really time consuming sliding the tracks around to get into the different grooves. Afterwards I got all of the sand out, cleaned them real good, and powdercoated them Satin black (I'm NOT concerned about originality if that's incorrect). Once I pulled them out, I lined the tracks with new, clear grease and operated them enough times to get a smooth action. I installed them using all grade 8 hardware (I know it's overkill) and threw them back on. They look and operate great!

If anyone is interested to see pics of the process, I can certainly upload them. If not, I definitely recommend this resto route for yours. Thanks for all of the advice!
