That poor car.  The only thing that even remotely impresses me is the horsepower numbers you listed. Why would somebody shove those god-awful wheels under that car? It looks like somebody dropped that body from a 6 story building and it landed on a something with big wheels.

FAIL.

What is the point of installing a 1,000 HP motor if it can't put it to the ground and run it?  That car looks about as functional as Richard Simmons in a Hooter's restaurant.  But, I'm glad to see that even in this dire economy there are people that have so much money they can waste it on a Hot Wheels style abortion like that one...

hawkeye

Some people just should not be allowed to own 2 gen chargers.

" Some cars get meaner and better as they get older, and resto-mods are the perfect example of that.  What's a name or a VIN tag matter when these cars were meant to run hard and conquer the road?  And what better way to do so than modernizing timeless styling and beauty like a 2nd Generation Charger has to offer.

Then again, that's MY opinion.  What do YOU want to do with YOUR car?  Your wants are the only thing that matters here..."

Somebody's building a car to their liking. So what?
Much rather see that than erased from the earth.  :2thumbs:

My only thought when looking at the pic was already mentioned. How does it steer? Currently there's no where for the front wheels to go but straight. Air ride suspension, perhaps?  :shruggy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Keuz4PBccWo    Car is looks like but is not Maximus which has some pretty impressive metalwork. It is a wide body 5 inches wider in the quarters.

I think you are criticizing this car against a standard it was not intended to meet. The practicality of cruising Saturday night or going to the local show-n-shine is not what these guys have in mind. These high dollar builds are often more art than car. They are a dream fulfilled or a challenge for the builders - often coupled as an advertising vehicle for the shop. If you can put yourself in that frame of mind, you can't help but appreciate the workmanship.

I'm sure I could spend a 1/2 a day looking this thing over and still not appreciate it all.

I was hating the car till I watched the video! While I still think the wheels sucks Chevy I like some of the little 2nd Gen touches! Like the seats, rather have stock seats but nice 68 touch with the pleats. Same with the dash, I rather they just updated the cluster, but still looks like a 2nd Gen dash, well more or less.

Body work is superb! Someone has mad skills!  :2thumbs: I think what really won me over was the fuel cell! I have been wanting something like that, or should I say day dreaming about one.

If I had $150,000,000.00 would I buy it, NO. But, I would use there shop to build what I want!

Dump the wheels, stock looking dash and a stroker Hemi I be there!

Same as you ken , I love the fuel cell , great work and skills shown , removing and filling all the rear trim holes and leaving just the original light pods, leaves it looking weird,
Time to break out the cnc and come up with some sort of trick tail lights, you can't leave the originals , they don't look the same without the trims and surrounding mouldings to compliment them
But love the work done , just amazing

Until said car is brought up in a topic asking opinions from the above mentioned divine authority of the Mopar VIN plate correctedness police, Then it's "sit back and take all criticism whether it's good or bad".

The car isn't being criticized for not being stock, it's being criticized for HOW it's being customized.

There will ALWAYS be critics in the realm of custom cars.

Its not always going to be everyones cup of tea, personally I like. I'm interested in the build and the level of modifications going into it for ideas on my build. Love it or hate it, it doesnt matter. Just chasing more info on this project.
