heater hose

I am wondering about the heater hose on my a/c 68 charger; there is a short pice that is shaped like a "U" on the firewall that goes from the a/c around to the heater core. I used regular heater hose and have had kinking issues at the bend in the "U".
Was the original moulded into a "U" shape, or should I just get one of those coils that can go over the hose and prevent kinking?

It was a u shape, you can buy them.

any auto part store has them....just go and find a hose that has a "U" shape in it...pre-formed hoses fit a lot of cars now-a-days.....you will just cut off what you don't need.....might be cheaper than trying to find a "correct" one from Mopar vendors
