I am putting a 67 383 in my Charger. It is a points Distributor but I have several Electronic ones but I don't know what they came out of. How can I tell if one of them will work in my 383. Is it just a mater of the length of the disturbtor drive shaft?

Assuming they are big block Mopar units, yes its just the shaft length.

Yes they are all big block. what length shaft do I need for a 383?

I guess once I take the points dist out I can match up the  lengths.

RallyeMike

Yup. Tthere are only two length, and the difference is significant. It will be obvious.
