What is up with giant clitoris-looking device above rear window? Do these have to be there?

I think they need to get away from the whole 2nd Gen thing period . Come up with a fresh new design . Create a new classic .

As for '69 design influences, either the designers looked at a '69 for exactly 2 seconds or they're blind, because other than the thing with the doors, the half-assed coke bottle shape, the hood and the name, there's not much '69 Charger DNA on that machine...

:iagree: Looks terrible :eek2: Why is it that a professional Designer can't Design a good Charger when the Guy ad home can? I see better Designs on the web then in real Life!

This Guy was blind.. The grill is not good.. the taillight sucks.. and it is still a FUCKING FOR DOOR!!! They don't get it.. A new challenger they can make.. as close to the original design off 1970.. but a good looking 69 charger and make this car looks new again they can't? It is so simpel but then won't do it.. :'(

This looks better:

Man, now THAT looks nice!

Since the exec's at Chrysler already admitted that the design for the 6th gen Charger had nothing to do with past Chargers, it's seems a stretch to consider this car honors the Charger legacy.

How do you get past that?

By not buying it.....

As new cars go, the Charger's still one of the better ones. LOOSE the daytime running lights PLEASE, and I'm already over the LED fad too.

I like it better than the 2014.  Also, if you really stop to compare the old vs new, the rear end treatment on the new car is tougher IMO.

Ghoste

I disagree with you there my friend, I like the previous tail better but I may learn to like the new one in time.

JB400

It'd probably look more better if they did a 69/70 style tail lights instead of the Dart versions.  Or, at least have the rear bumper curve up into the indent like on the 2nd gen.

Its a great car.....leave it alone.   I remmeber the charger in the 80s was a 4x4 truck.....

chargerman69

If a couple wanting matching cars one could get the dart and the order the charger

No no dude, easy mistake.  You're thinking of the Ramcharger.  The Charger of the 80's was a front wheel drive econobox.

Cooter

And just like in the 80's, there will be those who will pay good money for one of these hideous turds from Mercedes/Fiat, and tout the Mopar name the entire time like an idiot.  But, will flip his/her wig if they see a 1933 Plymouth coupe with a small block Chevy in it.

But it was two words ram and charger, lol.  Just like srt charger is two words theres no srtcharger.

I have to agree with some, the 15 has to much Dart characteristics.I like my 13 R/T much better.NTM,the hood is dif on the 15 taking away the hood depressions "scallops".

TUFCAT

Damn, I didn't notice the hood scallops were gone!  :-\

According to the online article, with the exception of the rear doors all exterior sheetmetal will have some changes with the biggest change obviously to the front/rear fascias and hood. Even the quarter panels swoop a little higher & appear extended slightly.
I'd like to see one in person when they come out. For someone who may be in the market for a 4-door sedan with some performance, it's a real nice car.

They took the cheapest car and made it the styling theme.

I agree with you on that....the Charger should be the styling leader.  Maybe the Charger "Dart-like rear end styling" should've been first, then followed by the Dart

1974dodgecharger

I agree the new dart kicks ass  :2thumbs:

Mytur Binsdirti

The new Dart is a flop, yet they are now making the Charger look like an oversized Dart. The designers know that there's a problem with the front end of the Charger, and they keep screwing it up with each new re-design. I can pretty much accept the side & rear view of the 2013/14 Charger with the exception of the nose, which as we all know, used to look like a Ram truck and was completely out of place on the Charger. Now this.  ::)

You guys all know that you will be able to get the 2015 Charger without the black 'mask' on the front, right?
Imagine the black going across the front, but not down in the middle...
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?
