This car is for sale for $5500. Compared to the prices local, which is few cars, and across the nation it seems to be well within the average going rate. 69 383 car per VIN number. A/C car. No engine but does come with tranny,no drive shaft. Other known pieces missing include the drivers seat, front valance, front bumper and related items. Grille is suppose to be in good shape. Supposedly a fairly complete car other wise, apparent rust issues. Can you go wrong for a rolling 69 Charger with a VIN and title at that price?

Drache

In canada, no. Add a non running engine and the front seat and you'd get $10,000 for that car  :icon_smile_big:

Seems to be at the high end of reasonable, it all depends on how much rust you are buying.  :scratchchin:

If all the frame work is good it looks OK for that price
I guess it depends how far away the car is from you also

Needs rear frame work on one side. Suppose to come with the new rail. It's about 100 miles away from me, much closer than the $6000-$8500 cars across the country I've been seeing.

Frame rail work changes things
I think I would look around some more

Point out the rusty frame rails, no engine, no this, that and the the other...  I might offer $3k cash and see if he takes it.  Worst he can say is no...  Cash seems to speak loudly...

Yes, I didn't want to bring up the name for the sake of controversy. lol I've seen more pictures of it but they were sent to my phone, not the computer.

DTB

Fender damage/rust as seen in the picture. Quarters, trunk floor, and some rear window rust like apparently 90% of them have.

myk

That car with its price seems outrageous to US, but honestly, considering the market and what's available I hate to say that the price may not be so badly out of line...

Watch out that dude is a snake in the grass....
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

myk

These days I'm convinced that just about anyone selling anything is a snake in the grass.  With a car involved the grass is taller and the snake is hungrier...

Educate me; who is that?  What has he done?  Nevermind, PM me the details if you feel like it...

Google it... he found the LEE1 Bubba Watson owns now (or the firewall of LEE1 Bubba Watson owns now)

Is it worth it, maybe.
Will it sell for that, if not to you then someone else.

cudaken

Heck, with the Charger only being 100 miles way, take some cash, a Magnet and a trailer and take a look. I think you will find some hidden (Have not bubbled yet) repairs that may or may not have been done right.

I have replaced frame rail's and while it takes a lot of time, it really is not that hard.

Main thing I be worried about is where to find the missing parts.

Most people, say most cars are overpriced, most of the time.

That deal doesn't look bad IMO.

I would make sure to spell out that the wheels come with it.  Plenty of other people want them even if you don't.

Suppose to come as pictured with the wheels. I don't know,it just seems that any unrestored car I'm going to find within 300 miles is going to have the same rust issues and they are typically priced the same or higher.

For reference, here is another 69 Charger in the Chicago area. Given its got the engine, but the frame is probably just as bad in the rear.

I still think if you keep your eyes open you will find one not too far from home with a good frame in it

I live in Ontario Canada and in the last 5 years I have bought a 69 Charger from North Carolina ,67 Coronet from Nevada,70 Charger from Texas and a 69 Charger from Virginia
All but one was less than an hour from my house
All had perfect frames
I have had too many Canadian cars that need frame work
You just have to be ready and be the first one there with the money when they turn up :2thumbs:

Cash speaks loudly?
What else do sellers want when they advertise a car? Ground beef? EVERY car that I have ever tried to sell has been because I wanted money. I never tried to hornswaggle anyone out of a truckload of turnips or tomatoes. I've never been interested in trading a car for lap dances from Roseanne Barr.
