I'm pretty sure that ad just gave me cancer.

"Attention Mopar Fans here is your chance to a huge piece of Plymouth History. This NASCAR influenced 1970 Plymouth Superbird is number 1558 of Approximately 1935 made and one of 716 equipped with the 440 6 pack option and just 308 with a 4 speed. The Alpine White exterior and Black Vinyl roof appear to have been well maintained and preserved over the years. The exterior is wrapped in the Famous Road Runner Decaling, Nascar Wing, and Nascar Nose Cone, sets these RARE cars apart. The Black interior with Bench Seat, Pistol Grip Shifter, Rally Gauges, and the Legendary Road Runner Trim shows little to no wear. The speedometer has clocked just an assumed to be original 27,582. Locked under the pinned hood sits the highly desired numbers matching 440 6 pack mated to the numbers matching 4 speed linked up to the original Dana 60 powers this car around the track with ease. Riding on the Factory Chrysler Rally Wheels wrapped with a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A gives it that great muscle car stance. Oppurtunities to own these Legnedary cars in this condition is becoming nearly impossible. Do not miss yours !!!!"

Pricey.   Some inexpensive fixes would help the car present better.

Aero426

Wow, the elusive Six Barrel Coyote Duster option!

Aero426

The way wrong decal positioning is like nails on a chalkboard.  Restored by someone not familiar with the cars?

What is going on with the shape of the lower rear quarters behind the wheel?   It looks strange... like the back part by the bumper has been pulled inward.

Aero426

Nose cone to valance panel fit needs help.

Pricey.

$179,000 - definitely asking four-gear daytona money for it

three pedals and three carbs are sweet, but nowhere near 179 large sweet.

Probably not the "assumed 27k miles" by the polished sheen of the woodgrain on the wheel.

The best part is when you remove those Charger bases you'll still see the indented areas behind.

Even the trunk lid emblem and (supposed to be on the) 1/4 end cap standing bird!

I found correct ones on Google images in a few seconds...

still haven't figured out the poll thing, but i have to wonder if this is the type of feedback the original poster was hoping for. surely not if he is involved with the restoration and/or sale.

if he is a potential buyer, perhaps he will walk into negotiations with his eyes wide open.

The "Post New Poll" button is right next to the "New Topic" button.  I think some folks - especially those unfamiliar with the forum software - click on the wrong button or don't understand what it does.

I'll remove the poll, since you're right - it's meaningless.

Thanks for the replies.I was just wondering if anybody had any history on the car.I'm interested in a four- speed car.

Something to think about,my bird is a two owner car,35K miles, me being the second since 1982,it has the long base and arm rest pads and there  no sign under the bases of ever having the short one's ,nothing in the interior from what I can see had ever been touched.
