Should there be jute or some other material under a 2nd gen package tray?

Not sure if it was originally supposed to be there but I added some 1/4" padding to the edge where the rear seat meets it to raise it up a bit to be more flush with the back of the rear seat :Twocents:

Not sure how it would be able to fit properly in the rear window area with the padding on all of the package tray panel....

I would say that mine was there from day one.
It's a lot thinner than the stuff you would find under the carpet.
