what numbers should be stamped on passenger side of 69' 440 engine in relation to complete Vin number. All of the characters or just partial?

If it was installed in a 69 car, it should have all the vin number.

It depends on the scheduled production date.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

build date was Feb 1969, would that require all characters. I am trying to determine if this is an original engine or has been restamped.

By then I think you'll just find a partial.

Mine was built Nov 1968, complete VIN stamped on the Block, and the Trans case.
