are 383 and 440 intakes different?

Ok I think that 440 and 383 intakes are different widths but I just want to make sure before I start looking for a used one.

yes theY are different 440 tall deck.383 low deck UNLESS ITS AN OLD early 60's 383 tall deck

ok how old? I have a 65 and a 67   383 that I plan to abuse untill rods are hanging out of the side.

The high block RB 383 was a '59-'60 thing. '65 and '67 are low block B.

I am 95% sure they would, but I believe they have smaller runners. :scratchchin:

Depends on whether it's a B 383 or an RB 383. I didn't say ALL '59-'60 383's were RB, both were used...depends on the model i.e. some models of '59-'60 Chrysler used the RB 383, all others used the B.
