What crank would be in a 71 440? How much would you pay? :popcrn:

myk

A crank made in 1971?   :shruggy:

A '71 440 would have a forged crank, cast didn't come out until '73.

Price would depend on Hi-Po/Lo-Po, completeness and condition.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Not saying somoeone could not have switched them out but a Cast crank harmonic balancer is thicker about 1 inch thick. A forged crank one will be about 3/4 thick. Look to see if the back of the crank shaft is drilled for the pilot bushing. I think all the Forged ones were drilled but the cast ones were not drilled unless it had a manual trans. Dont worry John will correct me if I am wrong.
