Never did I think I'd be this sad to see a car leave the family as I am with the 1970 Plymouth Satellite Sport Coupe my dad recently sold, I learned how to drive in it on a few occasions and did my first burn out in it, I even drag raced it in High School, tonight was the first time I saw it without a roll cage since my dad caged it  over 10 years ago (at least part of it will stay with me), The roll cage is going to be installed in my charger along with the race seats. Having part of it will be nice but theres something about that car maybe it's the memories made, or that smell the car has, I know alot of you guys know what I mean by that. A cool factor of the new owner getting it is He is going to build it how I wanted to (Hammer Clone).

I know exactly what you mean.  I learned to drive in my dads 73 Newport.  Years later when I started to get into cars I went to that junyard and saw it sitting there. It was sad but cool.  Then I had a 71 satellite, bored 383, tunnel ram, 4:30 gears and shortly after I got married the engine was starting to go so i sold it and remodeled our bathroom! The car was awesome because it was from california.  Again, several years later I saw it for sale in a local paper.  I didn't have the $5,500 he wanted but called anyway.  He took the tunnel ram off, put a hood on with out intake hole and I think he changed the gears.  If I remember right he said it was a bit to crazy for the street.

There's a junkyard by me that has two of them in it - I've looked at them a couple times just for kicks

I get it, there's memories tied to the car. We all know how that feels and it sometimes outright sucks.

Now is the time to build your car and make some new memories.   :yesnod:

All depends on how bad you need the money?  And are you willing to let it go for 6?  If you don't drive it much, and don't care too much about that lil bit extra, take 6, and relieve yourself of that burden.  Else hold out for someone with that little more.

I'd tread lightly before I let that truck go....a lot of people are starting to get into them sweptline era dodge trucks and they are getting harder and harder to find, especially ones that aren't rusted into the ground!
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....
