I dealt on this car a couple years ago but we never could come to an agreement on price.  It looks like no one else wanted it either.  Now that prices have gone up and with the current bid I'm a little more interested.  What do you guys think?
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

If it is what he says it is...price seems very reasonable...

Well my old 69 Bee just traded hands. The guy I sold it to, sold it. Anyway, it is a 383 4 spd car. Numbers matching. Even has the Dana. Running. Does have rust and interior issues. Needs total resto.  But totally complete. It sold for $6000.00. I wish I would have found out earlier I would have purchased it.

Green isn't the  most desirable color, but the black vinyl top breaks it up some.

Big pluses are the 4-speed body with fender tag, and the complete 69 Coronet parts car for all the odds and ends stuff - though I do wonder why he doesn't give more info about it, presumably a 318 car?? etc. etc.???  Have you seen the Super Bee's rust issues firsthand?
Always wonder about what you can't see in the pic's.

At $4000 in today's market looks about right, $5000 for both wouldn't surprise me, and if you want it bad enough $5,500-$6,000.  If it were me, since it doesn't have the correct hood anyway and the numbers engine/trans is gone, I'd replicate a 69 1/2 Six Pack Super Bee with this car, prices on them are skyrocketing.

That's a good point Hound.  A 69 1/2 sixpack clone would be very cool.

I have not seen this car in person.  If I remember right the guy recommended one full quarter replacement.  He thought the other side could do with just patches.  I got to thinking last night and the reason we couldn't hash out a price was because of a title issue.  He got a title when he bought it and never transfered it.  Here in SD there's a 30 day period in which you have to transfer title if I remeber correctly.  I don't know what happens after that and he didn't seem all that enthused about running to the courthouse to find out.  I think he was asking $4500 at the time also.  All the loose ends is what made the deal fall through.

Sounds like a great deal.   I love the color combo.  Good luck!   :2thumbs:

Yeah I had in the back of my mind about $4500.  I didn't get it of course.  Oh well, I have many years of collecting ahead of me.  This isn't the first and it certainly won't be the last.

So, are 1968 Superbees about the same price range??

I just got a 1968 numbers matching 383 in pretty good condition.  It is original Burgundy with black interior.  It has the fender tag, but I could not find a build sheet.
On the fender tag, it did not come with too many options.  It has the sure grip rear end and a black stripe.
It came with a bench seat, shifter on the column.  It does have the rally gauges like the charger though.

It is raining pretty hard right now, other wise I would go get some pictures.

Not sure where your located but theres a 68 Bee here in NY for sale thats suppose to be a solid southern car. I believe it was green w/white stripe minus the motor but he had a 69 440 he was willing to throw in. I think he was looking to get around $4k for the car. I think it might have been an ac car as well.

ChargerHound69

Do you have his number??  I need the 69 440 motor.

Dont have have it off hand, it was for sale in the want ad here up until a few weeks ago, ill see if my buddy still has a copy of the want ad and get the number.
