Hi, not sure if this is in the right section but I am wondering if anyone has ever replaced the complete rocker ( wheel to wheel) on a 73/74 charger, mine are completely gone along with the front floor, firewall and firewall end panels all of which I managed to find that challenger parts will fit. I was wondering if any one knows if the distance between the front and rear door jamb is the same and if the angle of the rocker is the same as the charger fender and quarter angles if anyone has tried this.

The rocker skin is gone, or the whole rocker?

The whole rocker it's gone even where the hinge post is welded to it

That's not good.  I would pull the motor and trans and get it on a frame rack to make sure the unibody hasn't been tweaked.  If it's ok then weld in frame connectors and maybe some cross bracing in the interior.  Then you are going to have to do a ton of work and drill out the old rocker and replace with a new piece.  I have no idea how close an e-body piece may be, you may be able to save some of what you have and splice in the e-body rocker if they are very similar.  Do one side at a time and take some measurements before you start (roof to rocker, rocker to rocker, etc).

I have already stripped the car down welded in bracing set it up on a jig and cut out te centre section (skin) of the rocker. There was barely enough left to hold the car together. The cowl end panels are rotten as that's how I noticed in behind the rockers were completly gone. I alresdy have a ebody firewall and cowl panels which match up perfectly . Seems as though the basic inner front structure is same as the ebody. I was curious as to whether anyone else had their rockers gone behind the quarters or were the hinge pillar mounts and what they did to repair besides fabbing from scratch. Thanks

take in mind, even the rocker goes from fender "dog leg" to the rear wheel, BUT the section between door opening and rear wheel is actually hidden by the quarter skin, so gets underneath the quarter. It gets leveled steps on that area to be overlaped.

it gets in fact drain areas for that area

Yeah I see that it steps in where it goes behind the quarter and where the fender overlaps, the challenger does that as well.

I honestly don't know.  Maybe order one and see.

I would but I'm in Nova Scotia and cannot send it back which sucks.
