What does this wire go to???

I have a wire on my 1969 Charger that is not hooked up....does anybody know what it should go to?....I wa thinking it was the temp gauge.

Yep, water pump temp sensor.  You'll see a threaded stud on the front of the pump housing, push the little boot on that and you're good to go.
