1971 charger headlights are sideways, is this normal

This may sound strange, maybe its normal, I dont know.  All four of my headlights when installed are off 1/4 turn... what I mean is the writing and what not on the lens is not horizontal so you can read it, its vertical.  It looks strange this way.  Is this normal or did I install them wrong?  It seems to me (I installed them way back when) that they only went in one way.

Any thoughts?

They're installed wrong.  The writing should be readable.

there are slots for the light to turn to fit in i had the same prob before
