Make-a-Wish Charger needs 1 last part

Hey everyone,  as I noted a few weeks ago when looking for a 69 Charger grille section, my shop is helping the Make-a-Wish Foundation build a 69 Charger General Lee for a kid with cancer.  A lot of major companies have stepped up with parts and services, and my shop is providing the final assembly, and helping track down parts.  This is where you guys come in again:

I totally forgot that the 69 Charger hood latch mechanism was different than the 68, so I need a 69 hood latch, release handle and connecting rod.  I've got the new grill put together and will install in the car this week (Safelite is installing glass on Thursday, then I'm taking it to Kicker so they can install a crazy stereo system).  Car is being transported in my enclosed trailer for now, but I've got to deliver it to the Lexus dealership for final detailing on the 28th of this month, so time is short.

Please help.  If you have one, know someone that might have one, etc.  Let me know.  You can call me directly: Patrick 918-231-3605, text that number, or email patrick@scotlea.com

THANKS !!!!!

Does he want the latch part that bolts to the hood, or the part that bolts to the headlight frame/ header thingy????

cause i have this thing, off a 69  :scratchchin:

That's it baldwinvette , he also needs the the latch that connects to that rod, should be over to the right in photo, it's the lever you unlatch hood with when standing in front of car

I don't seem to have anything else other than whats pictured  :rotz:

How much more time do we have to get it to you, ?
I have the other part baldwinvette, you send that part you have pal and I will sent the other, ?
Where do we send parts , mine might take a little longer app 5 to 10 days
Address please , would like to get it in the post before the end of week
Just checked part very similar, you would just need to weld an eyelet piece on to the end for that rod to attach,
Now I know why I didn't use it , but bolts up the same, just the end of lever slightly different, no hole for that rod to attach,

Those are exactly the parts I need guys!!!!  I have everything on the hood itself - that's all the same 68-69.  The parts on the grill panel are what I need that you actually actuate to open the hood.   Car is going to Kicker tomorrow for stereo, then I'll get it back next week to finish it up.  So I have a few days to spare.

Here's my address:

Scotlea Hot Rods 2816 SE Hampden Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Please let me know if you guys are willing to donate those parts, an include your name so I can make sure you get proper credit for helping.  Thanks!!!!

Just remember you need to weld more material or an eyelet piece for that rod to connect to , everything else the same, typical Chrysler utilising the same parts on many cars

Patrick, on closer examination of my 69 , I think the catch I sent you may just frustrate you, but I committed myself and stopped any one else finding one for you , found one , new old stock , on its way locally to you, straight bolt up , in good condition , black , nothing needs doing to it , ignore the other junk I sent to you
For a good cause , hope it works out
Just wished I lived nearby to come and help wrench on it, all the guys on hear know there cars back to front

Thanks again for everyone's help!!  The car is done, but I can't post pics until after the reveal - don't want to risk spoiling the surprise!!  Pics soon though.
